Our firm has long-lasting relationships with clients, design partners, and builders, making up the team to create a successful project for you. We do not stop when the documents are complete. We are your eyes and ears and will guide you through the bid negotiations, zoning approval process, Historic Preservation Commission reviews, and are there for onsite field visits during construction. We are passionate about the beauty of the Cape and proud of our team, our work, and our community!
CATHERINE A. LORENTZ AIA, NCARB, PRINCIPAL
Catherine moved from NYC in 2006 and established her firm Cape May Architect. Since then she has developed the reputation, through the successful completion of 100’s of projects, as the leading architect in Cape May County for the design and delivery of new, restored and extended homes. She has a real excitement for architecture and for understanding her clients’ needs and aspirations. She knows the special requirements for homes built in Cape May County and along the Shore. Catherine brings years of experience which is shared with each new design endeavor.
Catherine graduated from the prestigious Cooper Union in NYC and worked in some of the leading New York City architectural firms before moving to establish her practice in Cape May County. During her time in NYC she worked with international law firms, corporate facilities, hotels and in the restoration of historic structures including New York City Hall.
Bachelor’s Degree of Architecture from Cooper Union, Registered Architect, State of New Jersey, Member of the American Institute of Architecture, Certified Member of the US Green Building Council, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards
